Rick Wohlfarth, president of the Manhattan Association of Realtors (MANAR), will conclude his term in upbeat fashion with the newly awarded title of 2012 MANAR Realtor of the Year.
As a MANAR member, Wohlfarth has made significant advances in educating fellow Realtors about global business procedures and opportunities.
In addition to his New York office, Wohlfarth practices real estate in Maine and in South America, most notably Brazil, where he has a home.
The Realtor of the Year distinction will follow the namesake owner of Wohlfarth & Associates Inc. to Albany, where he will be lauded by the New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR), during the organization?s annual Mid-Winter Business Meetings, at the capital?s Desmond Hotel & Conference Center.
Wohlfarth will then celebrate in Manhattan with his fellow MANAR members during the installation of the group?s officers and directors for 2013, including Robb Pair as president.
Pair is president and CEO of Harlem Lofts, a real estate brokerage, construction, development and property-management firm. His company specializes in assisting homeowners and investors to take full advantage of the opportunities in the Harlem real estate market.
The MANAR installation event is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Thursday) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., in Red Rooster Harlem, 310 Lenox Ave., Manhattan.
In addition to Pair, MANAR officers for 2013 include: Zhann Jochinke of G?Day NYC, vice president; Fanny Montalvo, of Fanny Montalvo Realty, secretary; and Mark Smith, of Park Avenue Property Group, treasurer.
Directors being installed for the 2013 term are: Immediate past-president Wohlfarth; Phyllis Pezenick, DJK Residential; Erica Bunin, Alfred Real Estate; and Michael Rossi, Elegran Real Estate.
Pair is both ambitious and optimistic about the coming months.??MANAR?s 2013 vision is to leverage the benefits and networking opportunities available to members through our affiliation with the National Association of Realtors, NYSAR and the Realtors-based Young Professionals Network.
?We, as Manhattan Realtors, have a national network of more than one million fellow Realtor members across the country. Most of these members know at least one person who lives, or wants to live, in Manhattan.?
To help accomplish MANAR?s networking ambitions, Pair plans to establish a Manhattan-based Realtors YPN. Once in place, he said, the group will sponsor monthly technology, roundtable and networking events for members and non-members alike.
?We also will continue to build on our global audience by hosting our third annual MANAR Global day in November 2013, and promoting Certified International Property Specialist designations and classes in Manhattan for all Realtors.?
