While for Tony, the relationship was over, Naa was sure the relationship was just going through a crisis which would be resolved with time.
If the saying ?Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned? was anything to go by, then Naa?s reaction to the marriage of her boyfriend and best friend would either prove or dispel this assertion.
?Don?t mess with a woman? opened to the public from Saturday September 1, 2012, to Sunday September 2, 2012, at the National Theatre in Accra. There would be two shows each day at 4:00 p.m. and then at 8:00 p.m.

The Clean Up Process
The Overview screen opens by default when the program is launched, and it's where the "Analyze Now" button lives. Clicking the arrow next to it opened drop-down box that presented two choices: "Perform Quick Analysis" and "Perform Deep Analysis." The former is a one- to two-minute scan that looks for the most common PC problems; the latter is a five- to seven-minute scan that checks for all problems. Considering the heavy use that our test laptop had received, I went with the second option. Approximately six minutes later it finished the scan and uncovered numerous problems on my testbed.
Beneath the reading appeared a highlighted message: "Boost speed and stability by removing redundant programs with CRUDD Remover." CRUDD is Iolo's acronym for Commonly Redundant or Unnecessary Decelerators and Destabilizers?fancy talk for duplicate programs that clog your system. The idea behind CRUDD Remover is to eliminate those extra programs as each application install theoretically slows your PC's performance a bit. After running CRUDD Remover, 9 problems were detected on the PC, which were explained in simple detail on the "Problems" screen.
What I found truly cool was that Iolo System Mechanic 11 didn't just serve up a number?it provided blurbs that explained why these problems negatively impact performance. I checked off all nine problems, clicked the "Repair All" button, and performed the required reboot. Performing another deep scan revealed that the problems were addressed.
I ran Iolo's Program Accelerator, which smartly re-aligns all of a program's dependent files on the hard drive. It's touted as being better than disk defragmenters, which can blindly compact and separate files even more. Program Accelerator took approximately 15 minutes to work its magic, and, when it was done, I discovered that it had re-aligned over 20,000 files and eliminated nearly 100 file fragments. Four further files were defragmented after a restart. There are also a ton of other tools backed into the suite such as AcceleWrite (a new real-time feature that helps organize the way data is written to the PC's HDD or SSD) , and IntelliStatus (which displays RAM and hard drive information and serves up cleaning tools).
Performance Improvements
I tested Iolo System Mechanic 11's ability to whip a PC back into shape by performing two tests?running the Geekbench system performance tool and measuring boot times?before and after running the software to compare the computer's potency. Each test was run three times and averaged. Before Iolo scrubbed the system, the 2-GHz Intel Core i7 X990 Style-Note notebook with 4GB of RAM, and an 80GB Intel SSD drive achieved a 5,914 Geekbench score, and booted in 50.2 seconds.
After I used Iolo System Mechanic 11, I saw much-improved system performance: The GeekBench score rose to 6,452, and the boot time decreased to just 37.1 seconds. Having to make quick decisions helps witnesses identify the bad guy in a lineup
ScienceDaily (Aug. 28, 2012) ? Eyewitness identification evidence is often persuasive in the courtroom and yet current eyewitness identification tests often fail to pick the culprit. Even worse, these tests sometimes result in wrongfully accusing innocent suspects. Now psychological scientists are proposing a radical alternative to the traditional police lineup that focuses on eyewitnesses' confidence judgments.
In a new article forthcoming in Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science, Neil Brewer of Flinders University and colleagues report a new type of lineup in which witnesses are presented with lineup photos one at a time and are simply asked to rate how confident they are that the person in each photo is the culprit. Importantly, witnesses are not given time to mull over their assessments; they must respond within a few seconds.
Brewer and his colleagues have tested this technique, called "deadline confidence judgments," with more than 900 participants across several experiments conducted over the past three years.
In each experiment, volunteers watched short films depicting crimes or a mundane event in which one person was prominent.
Either five minutes later or a full week later, half of the participants were shown a series of individual pictures from a lineup of 12 people and asked to make a confidence decision about each face within three seconds of it appearing on the computer screen. They were asked to choose one of 11 options, ranging from "absolutely confident that this is the culprit" to "absolutely certain this is not the culprit."
The other half of the participants were shown the same faces but given as long as they liked to answer whether each face was or was not the culprit (yes or no). Sometimes the photos included the culprit and sometimes they did not.
Using an algorithm to infer a decision from participants' confidence ratings, the researchers found that overall classification accuracy was 20 to 30 percent higher for the new lineup than the conventional one.
Moreover, the researchers were able to identify particular patterns of confidence judgments that showed either a very high or very low likelihood that an individual witness's judgments were accurate.
The finding that eyewitnesses' judgments were more accurate under a deadline fits with previous research, which has shown that accurate eyewitness identifications are made significantly faster than inaccurate ones, and that a number of outside factors are removed with a short deadline.
"A weakness of the traditional test lies in the fact that it requires a witness to make a single 'yes' or 'no' decision about a lineup, with plenty of time to reflect on their decision," says Brewer. "But the time lapse from the initial viewing to the response often mitigates against witnesses making accurate decisions, as does an array of external factors."
These external factors include the conditions under which people view lineup photos, constraints on attention, and social cues that bias the witness towards a positive identification. For example, a witness might think that she should know they answer just because she viewed a photo for a long time.
According to Brewer, traditional identification tests often fail because the witness feels pressure to identify a guilty party. This new study suggests that witnesses are more likely to make accurate identifications when they do not have to be so precise.
With the rising number of DNA exonerations and the frequent failure of witnesses to identify the true culprit, Brewer believes that there is a compelling case for a new system of lineups.

Montee Ball Attack: Police Arrest 3 In Assault On Wisconsin Running Back
MADISON, Wis. -- Three suspects accused of assaulting Wisconsin running back Montee Ball were arrested Tuesday, nearly a month after the Heisman Trophy finalist suffered a concussion during an early-morning attack near campus.
Three 21-year-old men from Madison are facing battery charges but haven't been formally charged, according to a police report. Authorities have said Ball sustained a concussion when he was attacked by several men in Madison on Aug. 1.
Police have said the attack may have been related to an altercation at a house party that Ball attended a few days earlier, though detectives say they have no evidence suggesting Ball was involved in that fight. The altercation is still being investigated, according to the police report.
Ball, a Heisman finalist last season as a junior, has denied any involvement in the fight and says he hopes to be ready for the season opener.
According to police, Ball was walking down a street around 2:15 a.m. on Aug. 1 when two friends walking ahead of him turned around and saw him on the ground, surrounded by several men who were kicking him in the head and chest. The attackers fled when one of his friends and a man across the street moved to help him.
Ball had a stellar season last year, scoring 39 touchdowns to tie Barry Sanders' NCAA record. He finished the year with 1,923 yards rushing and 2,229 all-purpose yards, second in Wisconsin history only to Ron Dayne's 2,242 yards in 1996. Ball capped the season by rushing for 164 yards and a touchdown in the Badgers' 45-38 loss to Oregon in the Rose Bowl.
He announced days after the bowl game he would return for his senior season after NFL evaluators told him he would have likely been a third-round pick.

Chris Christie is 'ready' for keynote at convention
Chris Christie is set to deliver the keynote address at the Republican National Convention tonight. But he'll have one eye on Isaac, which could make landfall just before the New Jersey governor takes the podium.
"We're all obviously looking very closely at what's going to be happening in the gulf. And our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and hope that any damage that may happen will be minimal and there will be no loss of life," he told me on GMA.
Despite the threatening storm Christie said his speech "has pretty much stayed the way it was intended to be."
Party faithful are expecting a fire and brimstone address from the governor, but Christie wouldn't say if that's what they'll get.
"I'll be talking about the New Jersey experience and what that means for the country, what it can mean and promise for the country. They'll be some other stuff I'll be talking about too. But I'll be ready when I walk out on that stage tonight," he said.
"I think that if the American people watch tonight and leave the speech by saying, 'Yup, that's him, that's who I've heard about. He seems genuine to me,' then think I will have done my job for me and if they say I like the vision he's laid out for the country and for his party for the next four years, then I will have done the job for my party and my country," he said.
Christie had a tip for Mitt Romney when he takes the stage Thursday: open up to the American people.
"I've always said this George?Mitt Romney is going to have to win this campaign. And to do that over the next 70 days he's going to have to let the American people see who he is, put out a bold vision for the future. Remember, he's a challenger?Challengers always get a late look," he said.
Over the weekend Mitt Romney repeated the famous Popeye quote "I am who I am" in several interviews, implying that perhaps he wouldn't show more of his personal side this week.
Christie disagrees, and credits Rep. Paul Ryan for already bringing out a new side of the presidential candidate.
"I think you've seen [Romney] show a lot more of himself even since Paul Ryan has joined the ticket. I think Paul has brought energy to the ticket and he's brought great energy to Governor Romney after a long and arduous campaign. So I think that the American people are going to see a lot more of him and they're going to start seeing it tonight with Mrs. Romney," he said. "Who no one can speak better or more articulately about the man that Mitt Romney is and the leader he'd be for our country than Ann Romney so I think the fun starts tonight, George, and I think the American people are going to start to get a complete picture about who Mitt Romney is and why he'd be a great president."

NEW YORK (AP) ? All nine people injured during a dramatic confrontation between police and a gunman outside the Empire State Building were wounded by gunfire from the two officers, police said Saturday, citing ballistics evidence.
The veteran patrolmen who opened fire on the suit-clad gunman, Jeffrey Johnson, had only an instant to react when he whirled around and pointed a .45-caliber pistol at them as they approached him from behind on a busy sidewalk.
Officer Craig Matthews shot seven times, and Officer Robert Sinishtaj fired nine times, police said. Neither had ever fired their weapons before on a patrol.
The volley of gunfire felled Johnson in just a few seconds and left nine other people bleeding on the sidewalk.
In the initial chaos Friday, it wasn't clear whether Johnson or the officers were responsible for the trail of the wounded, but based on ballistic and other evidence, "it appears that all nine of the victims were struck either by fragments or by bullets fired by police," Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly told reporters Saturday at a community event in Harlem.
Police officials have said the officers appeared to have no choice but to shoot Johnson, whose body had 10 bullet wounds in the chest, arms and legs.
The officers confronted Johnson as he walked, casually, down the street after gunning down a former co-worker on the sidewalk outside the office they once shared. The shooting happened at 9 a.m., as the neighborhood bustled with people arriving for work.
The gunman and his victim, Steve Ercolino, had a history of workplace squabbles before Johnson was laid off from their company, Hazan Import Corp., a year ago. At one point, the two men had grappled physically in an elevator.
John Koch, the property manager at the office building where the men worked, said security camera footage showed the two pushing and shoving. The tussle ended when Ercolino, a much larger man, pinned Johnson against the wall of the elevator by the throat, Koch said. Ercolino let him go after a few moments, and the two men went their separate ways.
"They didn't like each other," Koch said.
After shooting Ercolino, Johnson, an eccentric T-shirt designer and avid bird-watcher who wore a suit every day, even when photographing hawks in Central Park, walked away as if nothing had happened.
Alerted by a construction worker, officers Matthews and Sinishtaj gave chase as Johnson rounded a corner and walked along Fifth Avenue in front of the landmark skyscraper.
A security videotape from the scene shows several civilians ? including three sitting on a bench only a few feet away ? scattering as the officers opened fire.
Police have determined that three people were struck by whole bullets ? two of which were removed from victims at the hospital ? and the rest were grazed "by fragments of some sort," Kelly said.
Two women with leg wounds and a man with a wound to his buttocks required surgery and remained hospitalized Saturday. They were listed in stable condition.
Both Matthews, 39, and Sinishtaj, 40, joined the nation's largest police department 15 years ago.
Matthews had drawn attention this year by suing the New York Police Department, accusing his superiors of unfairly punishing him for not meeting arrest quotas. A judge threw out the complaint.
The union representing the two officers didn't immediately respond to a message left seeking comment.
The shooting didn't deter tourists from flocking to the Empire State Building as usual on Saturday.
Patricia Flynn, 57, a retired schoolteacher, visited the building's peak with her elderly mother, who once worked in the skyscraper as a secretary.
"But I didn't tell her what happened," said Flynn, adding that her mother was unaware of Friday's shooting. "And she really enjoyed the view."
A group of 31 tourists from France held a meeting Friday night at their nearby hotel to decide whether to cancel their planned Empire State Building visit.
"We were scared, and we thought it was a risk," said Catherine Krukar, 38, a teacher.
But in the end, they went ahead with the visit, she said after descending from the observation tower,
"We know it can happen anywhere, and we wanted to see the Empire State Building," Krukar said. "It was beautiful!"

So what's actually going on here?

Metro Complaints
Let's start with Gabe Newell, the co-founder and boss at Valve, which owns the megapopular game distribution platform Steam. A few weeks back, he unleashed a polemic about Windows 8. He called it a "catastrophe for everyone in the PC space." Blizzard (Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo) and Notch of Mojang (Minecraft) piled on.
This gave voice to a lot of the concerns that people who haven't had a chance to use Windows 8 have had. But it also wasn't about really about playing video games, either. Mainly, it's been about Metro. Newell said of the new interface, "I think that they will basically rage quit computing after they use it. Things that used to be incredibly simple are now very complicated and hard." Which is, of course, not true at all.
Metro is mostly optional; you can revert to the familiar desktop at any time. Your Steam apps will work exactly the same as they always have. Were you really going through your file hierarchy in the Start Menu and selecting your Steam games like that? Or were you using shortcuts, or just launching through Steam? Because you can still do that. Windows 8 doesn't change that. Or you can just press the Start key, and type out the first few letters of a game's name, just like the old Start Menu. Then press enter. Launching apps is basically no different, and in some ways easier. The start screen takes getting used to, yes, but in no way affects gamers while they are playing games. It seems tantamount to killing a restaurant that's making all of your favorite dishes better than ever because it hired a new ma?tre d' who doesn't have his shit totally together.
Certified and the Windows Store
The more valid complaint is that Microsoft's policies and charges for certifying games has been prohibitively expensive. Additionally, people like Notch are worried that the arrival of the Windows store will mean heavy regulations that will negatively affect indie developers.
But how? Sandboxing, one of the more controversial parts of the walled garden approach Apple and Microsoft seem to be taking with desktop apps, doesn't really affect games in the same way it does general apps, since games don't require deep permissions as do-it-all apps.
Here's the key point to Metro apps and games: They're dirt simple for you, the user.
That matters. It matters a lot. Microsoft's ideal world isn't just a unified UI experience, but a frictionless marketplace for the entire platform. You know how Apple makes billions and billions and billions of dollars because its marketplace is so easy to use? And how its developers make way, way, way more money than other platforms' developers because of that? Yeah.
And forget certification and backend stuff and all the inside baseball stuff that we get bogged down in so often. Sure, that stuff has a real, tangible effect on the quality of games, but let's, for a minute, assume that a multi-billion-dollar industry won't just start shitting its pants all over the place and forget how to make good content because of a certification process.
So What We Are Really Talking About
So what's all this really about? Distribution. By creating a Windows Store that lets you buy and store all of your software in one place, Microsoft is moving in on Valve's territory in a big way. And everyone else seems worried that that will also mean Microsoft forcing them to live on that same, misappropriated territory.
Make no mistake: Valve and Blizzard and all the rest of the suddenly unsettled game companies don't give one good goddamn about Metro, or how it affects your day-to-days. They know you're not going anywhere. You didn't after Vista broke your computers, and you won't when Metro rearranges the furniture.
Valve's got even more at stake than you might realize; earlier this month, it announced its intention to start selling non-game apps in Steam. Which is great, except that the Windows Store is moving in on that front?and games too. Blizzard's disapproval has been a little overblown, but even just going on Executive VP of Game Design Rob Pardo's tweet agreeing with Newell, Blizzard has a deep interest in distribution as well, holding its games out of services like Steam, Origin, and the Mac App Store.
But these aren't stupid people or companies. Valve and Blizzard are a lot of things, but they aren't stupid, or careless, most times. This isn't just blind, unthinking lashing out. It's something else.
It's fear.
See, this is Microsoft we're talking about. The gaming industry was able to mostly ignore the Mac App Store?with its sandboxing and 30 percent cut?picking up traction with "newer" titles like Call of Duty 4 and RAGE, because lol gaming on a Mac. Didn't they just get DOOM 3 last month or something? But gaming on Windows? Uh oh. That's looks a lot more like the Microsoft that's been (mostly) kicking Sony and Nintendo's asses up and down the block for the better part of a decade. Microsoft knows gaming, and everyone else knows that it knows. So all this bemoaning Metro before the general public even gets its hands on Windows 8? Pre-emptive carpet bombing.
The list of who isn't complaining about the catastrophe of Windows 8 is telling: Razer, Nvidia, AMD, and pretty much anyone else who isn't heavily vested in distribution. It seems like those companies would have as much to lose as anyone if they really thought that Windows 8 would deeply damage PC gaming. And yet, nothing.
Why Do We Care?
About a week ago, Grantland's Jay Caspian Kang wrote an oppressively smart piece about sports fans' illogical personification of their teams' owners' bank accounts as their own. That, in the dog pile of following all of the minutia of the modern 24-hour sports cycle, we have come to internalize our teams' financial situations instead of just saying, "Give me the best team possible; I don't care what it costs you."
That mindset is clearly not limited to sports.
It makes perfect sense that companies would be worried about a Windows platform that is also a marketplace. You don't just buy games for Xbox, you can buy games from Xbox. And it's great. Apply that same method to the PC, and everyone who's been working as middlemen, or methodically avoiding them, should rightly be nervous.
But that doesn't affect you. It won't affect the stuff you buy, just the bottom lines of the companies that make it. And sure, AAA games are about budget, but companies are already paying Steam for distribution. This scuffle is just about who gets to collect the vig.
The really great games have always been about ideas. And Apple's model has already proven that creative indie developers can thrive in a relatively closed, curated, first party distribution environment. Microsoft just needs to iron out a few issues to follow suit. And anyway, there's no indication that Microsoft even intends to close off competitors. It's got a mixed history when it comes to open platforms, but blindly assuming it's going to happen is wrongheaded.
So no, Windows 8 is not bad for gaming. Unless you're trying to distribute video games.
